The Assistant anticipates the kind of help you need and suggests Help topics based on the work you're doing. It monitors your actions and suggests solutions to potential problems. The new Assistant serves as a central place for you to get tips and helpful hints for using PowerPoint features more efficiently, as well as visual examples and step-by-step instructions for specific tasks.
The AutoContent Wizard has been enhanced in PowerPoint 97. It consists of new pre-built content templates, which provides you with ideas, starter text, formatting, and organization for your presentation. The templates cover a wide variety of topics such as status or team meetings, certificates, flyers, calendars of events, and even Web home pages.
A wide variety of new designs are available for you to apply to your slides, including a number of animated templates with preset animation.
