Microsoft Excel 2000 is part of the Microsoft Office 2000 Suite, first released on 27th Jan 1999.
This was the first version of Excel to introduce the Office clipboard (as opposed to the Windows clipboard). At this stage it could only store 12 items, but in later versions of the product, this was increased to 24 items.
Only the items that you use most often are prominently featured on the new personalised menus and toolbars. You can easily expand menus to reveal all commands. After you click a command, it appears on your personalised menu. Toolbars share space in a single row on the screen, so you have more room for your work. When you click a button on a toolbar, that button is added to the personalised toolbars on your screen. You can easily customise your toolbars by dragging and dropping command controls on the toolbar.
