Microsoft Outlook 2007 is part of the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite, first released on 30th January 2007.
The fundamental changes introduced in the other Microsoft Office 2007 products – the Ribbon and the new XML file formats – were not as noticeable in Microsoft Outlook 2007. The Ribbon only appeared in certain parts of Microsoft Outlook and since Microsoft Outlook items are either stored on an Exchange Server or a PST file the new file formats did not apply.
The new ToDo bar was introduced in Microsoft Outlook 2007 showing users incomplete tasks and items that had been flagged like contacts or email messages.
Colour Categories were improved and enhanced and calendars can be viewed side by side or in “overlay” view.
