This version keeps the “Microsoft Fluent User Interface” and even enhances it. Unlike Microsoft Excel 2007, the Ribbon is now customisable, i.e. you have control over your Ribbon and what items appear on its tabs, and you can even add tabs of your own and put your favourite commands on there. No more despair because a favourite command that was on an Microsoft Excel 2003 menu can’t be found anywhere on the Ribbon.
In Microsoft Excel 2010 you can use sparklines - tiny charts that fit in a cell - to visually summarise trends alongside data. The advantage of sparklines is that they show trends in a small amount of space, so they are useful where you need to show a snapshot of your business in an easy-to-understand visual format.
Pivot Tables are improved with new controls called “Slicers” and conditional formatting is also improved with new icon sets.
