Microsoft Excel 2010Microsoft Office 2010 is a version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite for Microsoft Windows, and the successor to Microsoft Office 2007. Office 2010 includes extended file format support, user interface updates, and a changed user experience. The suite became available for retail and online purchase on June 15, 2010. Office 2010 is the last version of Microsoft Office with support for Windows XP.

New features include a built-in screen capture tool, a background removal tool, new SmartArt templates and author permissions. The 2007 "Office Button" was replaced with a menu button that leads to a full-window file menu, known as Backstage View, giving easy access to task-centred functions such as printing and sharing. A modified Ribbon interface is present in all Office applications, including Office Outlook, Visio, OneNote, Project, and Publisher.

The primary difference between our half day and whole day courses is the inclusion of PowerPoint in the whole day course. Naturally the whole day course does facilitate exploring the new features in greater depth than the half day course.

New features include a new read mode in Microsoft Word, a presentation mode in Microsoft PowerPoint and improved touch and inking in all of the Office programs. Microsoft Word can also insert video and audio from online sources as well as the capability to broadcast documents on the Web. Word and PowerPoint also have bookmark-like features which sync the position of the document between different computers.
