Microsoft Word 2007This was the version of Microsoft Word which introduced the “Microsoft Fluent User Interface”: the menus and toolbars of the previous version were replaced by a Ribbon consisting of tabs, groups and commands. The File menu disappeared and was replaced by the Microsoft Office button (large circle at the top left of screen).

The other fundamental change was that a new file format was introduced:the Word XML format is a compressed, segmented file format that offers a dramatic reduction in file size and helps ensure that damaged or corrupted files can be easily recovered. File saved in this format have a .docx file extension as opposed to the .doc file extension used in previous versions.

We offer three levels of training for Microsoft Word 2007, Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced
